Conference Room Camera Placement: Eye-Level Mounting, FOV & Multi-Camera Rules

Eye line, participant arrangement and sightlines determine camera placement; published FOV needs its measurement context.

01

Look from the remote participant’s seat

Consider faces, eye line and who may be hidden by another person or a display. A top-down plan helps reveal likely obstructions.

02

Separate camera measurements

Horizontal and diagonal field of view are different measures. Optical zoom, digital zoom and combined camera coverage should not be treated as interchangeable.

03

Consider the room behaviour

People entering, presenting or turning toward a second display can change the framing requirements. Add these uses to the room brief.

04

Check the proposed view

Confirm camera position and expected framing with the exact model and operating mode. The planner illustration does not simulate camera coverage.

Your next step

Turn the questions into a room brief.

You can keep uncertain details open and save your progress.

Project guidance · Oman

For Muscat and other Oman project locations, distinguish supply-only orders from installed-room projects. Record site access, cabling and network readiness so delivery and commissioning requirements can be reviewed together.

Before selecting equipment

  • Record room dimensions, seats, screen size and your meeting platform.
  • Record exact existing models, connections and the components you want to retain.
  • The proposed equipment, compatibility, licensing and installation scope require technical review.

Your quotation confirms the exact edition, included accessories, destination availability and delivery scope.
